📢 Foundation Certificate in Small Appliances Repair 2026 (Sessions 1–3)
Organized by Household Electronics Reborn (HER), this event featured the “Foundation Certificate in Small Appliances Repair”. Led by professional instructors, the program owner arranged 10 sessions of 2.5 hours each, designed to equip participants with essential safety knowledge and practical maintenance skills.
The first three sessions focused primarily on theoretical foundations, supplemented by hands-on practice. Instructors explained the fundamentals of electrical engineering and introduced various electronic components; participants then practiced dismantling and testing electrical appliances. Through the curriculum, students learned common causes of electric fan failures, how to maintain and clean desk fans and air circulation fans, and how to repair and clean rice cookers. Under the instructors' guidance, all participants successfully repaired the appliances. After the course, they can apply these newly acquired skills in daily life to fix their own appliances, reducing waste and actively contributing to environmental protection.
Event Background & Collaboration Synergy :
🌟【Benefits】🌟
Organized by Household Electronics Reborn (HER), the first three sessions of the Foundation Certificate Course are more than a conventional certificate program. Instead, they serve as a practical, hands-on masterclass seamlessly integrating the fundamentals of electrical engineering, home appliance safety, and basic repair skills. With a strong emphasis on electrical safety, the curriculum clearly explains the consequences of neglecting safety protocols and demonstrates the proper use of various household appliances. This approach helps participants reduce electricity consumption and lower daily expenses while actively promoting waste reduction at the source. Furthermore, HER brought previously collected faulty appliances directly into the classroom. Using these appliances, instructors provided live demonstrations of internal structures and repair techniques, ensuring that students gained solid practical knowledge while successfully restoring the faulty devices—ultimately giving these old appliances a second life.
Looking ahead to the remaining sessions, we aim to integrate green environmental protection seamlessly into daily life. By embedding eco-friendly concepts in our participants, we look forward to working together to build a sustainable, green Hong Kong!
