The "WEEE" & Small Appliances Recycling Day, to be held at The Arch on May 30, 2026, will feature HER x ALBA x ENEEF.
This event, titled "WEEE" & Small Appliances Recycling Day, was a collaboration between HER, ALBA, and ENEEF. The event combined designated collection points with professional donations. Many residents of The Arch brought their unused or malfunctioning appliances to the 3rd-floor platform, collecting a total of 39 "four appliances and one computer" and various small appliances, including computer towers, vacuum cleaners, printers, and microwave ovens. After professional inspection and repair, all appliances were donated to those in need in the community, contributing to environmental protection and grassroots community development.

The "WEEE" & Small Appliances Recycling Day, co-organised by the three parties, was not just a simple appliance recycling event but also a green practice lesson that integrated community care, a good housekeeping spirit, and the circular economy. ALBA provided professional legal appliance recycling and free on-site door-to-door collection services, ensuring that large appliances were properly dismantled and recycled. HER focuses on the "diagnosis and refurbishment" of small appliances, giving old appliances a second life through professional repairs and practising waste reduction at the source. ENEEF helped position this event as a living example of "resource restructuring and transfer," concretising the message of waste reduction and sustainable living, and successfully promoting residents' participation in building a green community.
This event not only helped many old appliances "reborn," saving them from ending up in landfills, but, more importantly, allowed residents of The Arch to experience firsthand the low-carbon lifestyle concept of "giving away and sharing, and recycling resources." Through this tripartite collaboration, we hope to closely integrate environmental protection with residential life, working together to build a sustainable, green Hong Kong!
