On May 30, 2026, the "WEEE" & Small Appliances Recycling Day "—jointly organized through a tripartite collaboration among HER, ALBA, and ENEEF—was successfully held on the 3rd-floor podium of The Arch!
This event fully implemented the environmental philosophy of "designated collection and professional donation," receiving enthusiastic support and active participation from the residents of The Arch.
💖 Warm Feedback from Residents: We Are "HER"
During the event, many enthusiastic residents curiously asked, "Is this an outreach recycling activity by Green@Community?" We smiled and explained to them, "No, we are not Green@Community. We are HER, a non-profit organization!"
Unlike standard recycling channels, HER focuses specifically on giving old items a second life and caring for grassroots communities. Upon hearing this, the residents showed deep appreciation, praised our dedication, and eagerly asked, "Will you come back again?" This affirmation brought immense warmth to all our volunteers on-site.

This initiative was far more than a simple recycling campaign; it served as a practical low-carbon demonstration blending estate care, the spirit of good stewardship, and the circular economy:

HER: Collected small home appliances are first transported to our workshop for professional inspection, repair, and deep cleaning. We make every effort to "give old appliances a second life." Once confirmed to be in good working condition, they are donated directly to underprivileged grassroots groups in the community, achieving waste reduction at source and resource restructuring. Only when an appliance is deemed completely unfixable will we transfer it to Green@Community for proper disposal, ensuring absolutely nothing is wasted.

On that day, residents brought numerous idle or broken appliances from their homes. A total of 39 regulated WEEE items and various small home appliances were successfully collected on-site (including computer towers, vacuum cleaners, printers, and microwave ovens).
This "Repair First, Donate Next, Recycle Last" model not only contributes profoundly to environmental protection but also fosters social harmony. It brings a profound sense of fulfillment and happiness to the donors, the beneficiaries, and our organization's staff alike.

This event successfully saved a significant number of old appliances from ending up in landfills. More importantly, it allowed the residents of The Arch to experience the low-carbon lifestyle philosophy of "sharing through donation and resource circulation" firsthand.
