【NGO Background】
Hong Kong Lutheran Social Service, CONCORDIA Sheung Yue River is dedicated to serving the community, focusing on the practical needs of low-income families through charitable initiatives that ease daily burdens and enhance quality of life. Both the Endeavour Environmental Education Foundation (“EEEF”) and Household Electronic Reborn (“HER”) are committed to sustainability, promoting environmental awareness, appliance recycling, and refurbishment, ensuring resources are reused to benefit vulnerable groups and the environment.
【Collaboration Synergy】
This event was a joint effort by Hong Kong Lutheran Social Service, CONCORDIA Sheung Yue River, the EEEF and HER. The latter generously donated over 30 refurbished appliances and sent our chief repair expert from HER, Mr. Cha, to share practical maintenance knowledge. The collaboration brought together multiple resources: providing essential appliances, promoting environmental awareness, and empowering families through education. Volunteers played a key backstage role, embodying the “Power of Giving” and maximizing community impact through resource sharing and inclusion.
【Event Outcome】
A total of over 30 reborn appliances were donated, benefiting several grassroots families and creating a warm, heartfelt atmosphere. Beneficiaries not only received much-needed appliances but also learned practical tips for care and basic repairs, boosting durability and reducing waste. The EEEF extends its thanks to HER and their engineers for indispensable behind-the-scenes support. This event improved everyday life, further promoted resourcefulness, and cultivated a culture of sustainable living!
